Advanced Stays started inside Advanced Residential, Lee-Ann Schey's Darwin and Palmerston agency. Owners kept asking the same question: would my place earn more as a short stay? And guests kept telling the same story: places that photographed well and turned up tired, hosts who went quiet, a lock box in a dark stairwell. Both sides of that problem needed the same thing, a local operator who treats a short stay with the discipline of a managed rental. So we built one.
